“BEAUTIFUL SOULS, OUR TIME TO RISE IS NOW. BUT FIRST WE NEED TO STOP BELIEVING THE LIE THAT EVERY OTHER WOMAN HAS IT ALL TOGETHER EXCEPT OURSELVES”

Joanna Peters

A WOMAN'S WORD

In my book “A Woman’s Word”, you will get a first-hand account of 9 brave women courageously rebuilding their lives with me, in every sense, after walking through private struggles alone.

You will fall in love with, identify with, and root for these real women while perhaps having some ‘ah-ha’ moments of your own along the way.

Follow Rosa’s heart-wrenching journey through addiction and homelessness, Sophia’s relatable struggle with perfectionism and anxiety in corporate while battling secret shame, or feel for Brenda as she fumbles through motherhood as best she can, while battling depression from unprocessed grief.

WE ARE ALL A HOT MESS ON SOME LEVEL. WE STILL GET TO LOVE OURSELVES!

WE ARE ALL

A HOT MESS ON SOME

LEVEL, WE STILL GET

TO LOVE OURSELVES!

I wrote this book because I wanted to put together a collection of stories that accurately depicts who WE are, to create a new and relatable point of reference of what it is to be a woman – outside of glossy, well-curated social media content.

The identities of the brave women you will come to love in this compilation are disguised, and some details changed to protect their anonymity further. This book is, however, very much non-fiction, with the subjects generously offering their stories in the hope of helping others feel less alone.

I lovingly offer this book as a roadmap for anyoneon a healing journey back to themselves.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT SPEAKER

One of my favorite empowerment presentations is leading this validating discussion on what gets in the way of successfully bringing your best authentic self to work. Curating our work identity is exhausting, creates unintended consequences to our health and leadership potential, and can cause us to disengage from our work and what we do.

Bringing your whole self to work is acknowledging who you are and bringing all aspects of what makes you “you” to the workplace. When we hide traits of our identity, we think we might be liked more or fit in better, but the opposite is true.

Understanding your personal mindset and energy type (archetype) and, thereby, how you show up to others will prevent the stress of the workplace from feeling magnified to both you and your team.

This 2 Hour Workshop Discussion Includes:

  • Identifying your personal mindset and energy type (archetype), and how that may influence the way others perceive you and your ability to effectively influence others.
  • Learning how to read your body’s stress signals and create space to renew your energy during the workday, so you can detach and relax during personal time.
  • Understanding how significant life events, past professional disappointments, or personal trauma may be affecting your perception of the world around you, and how to refresh your personal lens of life.
  • Reviewing the other archetypes in your team in order to support them better and ask for what you need to succeed.

This presentation can be adapted to your business, for example including how compassion fatigue adds another layer to consider.
